This is really beautfiul and insightful. As someone who is working on conquering fear, it's amazing to know that majority of it isnt real and that many times it's all in my head. I also have certain stories i've told myself that tbh, I've identified with. Now creating and believing in a new identity! Thank you for this.
What we call fear is an alert system; it points to change and possible discomfort, threat.
But our mind interprets and makes the plan of action. ← That is the problem.
For example:
Fear: You might lose your job.
Mind: If you lose your job, you will not be able to land another one fast enough. Losing your job also means you are not that good, and you will not be able to learn fast enough to be better than others. So now? How do you protect yourself?
Intuition: From where do you get all those conclusions?
Fear: I have never been so good at this. When I was in school, I hated to be around too many people. Why would I think that I can work in such a big team?
— In reality, Fear was just pointing at a change in the team leader's attitude. Why not ask her directly?
It's crazy how the mind works. Learning to master my mind instead of it mastering me. I am NO LONGER A SLAVE TO FEAR. I am a cHILD OF GOD. (I'm a Christian who has struggled with that).
I wonder who this EL Professor was. Sounds like an amazing person!
Más o menos 🤣
P*****o
