A short conversation with a friend turned into something worth sharing.
A student was facing “fear of failure.” And as we talked, something became clear:
Fear itself isn’t the problem. It’s a messenger. It shows up, delivers its warning, and waits for you to decide what to do next.
The problem starts when you identify with it, when the warning becomes a story you keep telling yourself. That’s when fear turns into anxiety. And anxiety doesn’t prepare you for anything. It just narrows everything.
In this episode, I share the voice note I recorded in that moment — unedited, imperfect, exactly as it came out.
What does fear of failure feel like for you — a signal that moves you, or a story that keeps you stuck? Share your thoughts in the comments. I’d love to start a conversation.
Love,
Jose.
