Great article! I’ve been on LinkedIn for a long time, but honestly, I wasn't really using it to post; I mostly used it to keep up with news or interesting articles for my research work, specifically in the field of Data Science and Taxation—more of a Tax Tech focus, you could say.

When I stumbled upon Substack (thanks to LinkedIn, actually!), I loved it and it really sparked my interest in writing. Now, I’m using LinkedIn to promote my Substack—though I’m not quite sure if it’s working yet, haha!

I want to build a new strategy, I’ll post it as soon as I make it.

I have an idea to make a set of custom GPTs

This is a great article. I have been working on my job as a Community Manager using Linkedin and Substack to reach others for our newsletter, The CMO Brief. This will absolutely help. Looking forward to using the prompt. Thank you, Melanie! I just started my own personal newsletter as well!

Love this post! It was time we needed a post comparing several aspects of content creation that differ between LinkedIn and Substack. Thanks team!

The LinkedIn --> Substack Flywheel is alive and well!

I've not got this right since the days of blogging regularly to a specific community as youre familiar with Jose. Twitter was the way my blog posts got discovered, no more, its toxic. LinkedIn is typically where I discover now. But once I find a substack of quality I follow it. And consuming substack is a daily read for me versus LinkedIn feed.

I dont' have the time I used to have to blog these days and often can't share what I'd love for company reasons.

Excited to hear what you have to say on here in future Jose!

Hi Jeremy, good to see you here! Yay! 😊

Jeremy! OMG so many years since we last spoke.

Oh yes, those Twitter years were awesome, we could find the entire SP and MSFT community there, sharing, giving opportunities, etc. It was awesome.

I thought I was at least relatively okay with Social Media… being an early adopter. But since I turned teh corner of tech and moved towards social entrepreneurship… I just had it tough in social media.

@Agnes Molnar look who is here! :)

Thanks Dennis!

I share your experience of LinkedIn, have had a lot of difficulties "getting it". This helps!

Jose Antonio Morales's avatar

Try the prompt, write your post, and then you get versions that could be good for each platform, based on the teachings and best practices from Melanie.

@Melanie Goodman has the whole thing mapped to perfection. It is the first time since the flintstones that I’m willing to try again on Linkedin
