“The cave you fear to enter holds the treasure you seek.” That’s profound .
I loved reading this , it makes me ponder , wonder and contemplate.
I like your writing style it’s quite engaging As someone with ADHD I sometimes struggle with reading a full article , but I just felt drawn to the subtle depth of the thoughts .
I used to teach history in my early twenties — drawn to the stories that shaped the world. Then I spent almost a decade in international business: building strategies, closing deals, flying across continents, climbing ladders that never quite led home. On paper, it was a success. Inwardly, something stayed restless.
Now I write — from a beautiful town in the Netherlands — about the things we feel but rarely name. My partner lives in Oman. Ours is a love shaped by distance, culture, and quiet courage — not forbidden, necessarily, but forged in places where permission is never guaranteed.
Together, we’re creating a space between worlds. A place for softness. For nuance. For depth. For thoughts too quiet to shout — and feelings that never asked to be explained.
I think that’s powerful . I find it a hidden form of generosity and kindness , when you want to share what you learnt , feel , understand and perceive with others .keep doing what you are doing . The world needs it more !
Then you should talk more ! Because what you speak is gold . Being someone who expresses himself , and has so much to share , thinks a lot , I understand the weight it sometimes carry .

I’ve been accused of talking too much, and I think that writing is helping me process and simplify.

You know, I have two Coworking spaces, and my friends there joke with me because when I go there I just talk…
I automatically go in mentor mode.
My purpose is to share what I learn, I’m grateful for your kind comments.

How do you understand the poem?
To me it is about the primordial reality that in darkness lies all potential, essence and origin. That's why it is feared and daunting.
To me, it also says that love is found there.
Being in love is like a reflection of Love that emerges from the darkness.
I'm kind of obsessed with the idea that Life is that darkness, and Living is the reflection of it in the eyes of the body.
✨ My Interpretation of Rilke’s Poem
“You darkness, that I come from”
→ Before birth, everything is dark — potential.
“I love you more than all the fires”
→ The fires are appearances, everything visible to the senses.
“That fence in the world, for the fire makes a circle of light for everyone”
→ What is visible becomes a fence — a limit. It keeps us from seeing beyond.
“But the darkness pulls in everything”
→ Everything arises from potential and returns to it. Darkness holds it all.
“I have faith in nights”
→ I trust the process of creation, Life, full potential.
“To me, this poem is not about despair — but about being at the source.
Rilke’s darkness is full of life, mystery, and quiet faith in what cannot yet be seen.”
