What you're describing clicks with me. The flatness of the Earth metaphor is perfect. As you easily revealed, the problem was the belief that the planet was flat. That belief was an idea, a convention.
A few months ago I had an experience that twisted my mind. I was meditating about the nature of time, noticing that everything I remember from the past, and everything I imagine about the future, always arrives at what we call now.
Which led me to a strange question: if there is only the present, was I even born?
Thich Nhat Hanh says: no birth, no death. I used to read that as a riddle. But that day meant something clear and powerful.
What I found, and I offer this gently, is that my body, my personality, my beliefs, my history... are all perceptions I'm aware of. Passing. Transitory.
But the awareness of them doesn't change.
And that brought me to a question I want to share with you, as an adventurous wondering: What if the paradigm shift is the last permission slip?
Our minds are generous, they give us exactly the insight we need to move one step further. Each realization feels like an arrival. Maybe yours is pointing somewhere real and true.
But I've started to suspect that every "seeing," every next step that my mind offers, even the deepest ones, is still the mind. Still a narrative about reality, a description, not reality itself.
The flat earth needed a new map. But what if what you're pointing to doesn't need a map at all?
Oh...deep resonance! You've touched on the very edge of where my exploration is sitting. What I'm pointing to with this paradigm shift isn't a new map—it's the recognition of the paper every map is printed on.
Everything is happening inside of Mind.
Here is the Reality formula (inspired by Syd Banks):
Mind + Thought + Consciousness = Reality.
The "I" that wakes up, the body, the history, the meditation that twisted your sense of time, this exchange we're having right now — all of it is form arising from formless, through Thought, made felt by Consciousness. The paper is Mind. The ink is Thought. The fact that any of it can be experienced at all is Consciousness.
So you're right — every "next seeing" is still mind. Even seeing-through-the-seeing is mind. There's no place outside it to step to.
The "no birth, no death" you touched in that meditation wasn't a new map. It was Mind glimpsing itself for a moment. No technique produced it. No technique could. And nothing about that recognition is outside the only place there is.
And all of this is the foundation for the Recognition MCP I'm currently building. It's now called RealityOS (and the main agent runs by the name AtmOS - inspired by you 😄) and it will enable Insight into how reality is created.
That's the paradigm shift that doesn't need a new map.
Looking forward to discuss all this with you for your podcast! It will take another 1-2 weeks but I don't want to hurry things. Moving forward at the speed of insight.
This was also the nudge needed to start my new series of articles. And to be honest, it's one of the best things I've ever written! 😅 So thank you for that!
I have to finish my current arc - so the new one start May 19th - 'The Map and the Territory'. I'll send you the article prior, because it's basically my longer answer to this thread. 🫶🏻
That's genuinely beautiful! It is hinting at what has become the next (and maybe last?) phase of my work: a paradigm shift.
Once there is a paradigm shift on how reality is created, you don't have to figure out or learn how to change your behavior, decisions and options.
Back in the times when people believed the earth was flat, there were loads of options on how to prevent ships from falling off the cliff.
Once it became clear, that the earth is round, all these options were obsolete. Automatically.
That's what I'm working on. I'm pointing to a paradigm shift on how reality is created. No techniques. Just the seeing is enough.
here it goes :)

That’s amazing! 🤩
You are tempting me to write a long comment :)
